Without Spot

2 Peter 3:14

Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
2 Peter 3:14

Peter uses language that echoes the Old Testament sacrifices, offerings that were to be without defect, set apart, whole. And now he applies that language to our lives.

Not because we achieve perfection, but because Christ has made us new and is continuing to make us whole.

There is something beautiful about this vision. A life that is not divided. Not hiding and not managing appearances. But increasingly whole before God.

We know how easy it is to live in fragments. One version of ourselves in public, another in private. One set of values we profess, another we quietly protect. But the gospel moves us toward integrity, not perfection, but wholeness.

And over time, as we walk with Christ, He cleanses, refines, and restores. The spots that once defined us no longer have the final word. The blemishes that once marked us are met with grace that does not leave us unchanged.

Lord, we confess that our lives can be divided, and our hearts not always fully aligned with You. Thank You that You are not only forgiving us, but forming us. Cleanse what needs cleansing, heal what needs healing, and make us increasingly whole before You. We bring our full selves into Your light and trust Your refining grace.

Made Whole in Him,
