Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority.

After all the examples with Lot and the experiences in Sodom and Gomorrah, Peter reminds his fellow Christ followers of a simple, powerful truth: “the Lord knows how to rescue us.”
Not might know.
Not eventually figure out.
He knows.
The Lord knows how to sustain, how to deliver, how to preserve His people even in the midst of difficulty.
The Lord’s knowledge is not abstract; it is personal. He knows us. Our circumstances. Our pressures. Our fears.
And He knows how to meet us in the midst of our trials.
So we trust, not because we understand everything, but because He does.
Lord, we confess how often we feel uncertain about how things will unfold. Thank You that You know exactly what we need and how to lead us. Help us trust You more deeply in every situation. We place our lives in Your hands and rest in Your wisdom.
