Saved for a Reason

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9

Peter reminds us that grace always moves outward. We are chosen for something, not just from something.

God does not rescue us merely to forgive us; He rescues us to send us. Proclamation is not limited to preaching; it is telling the truth, with words, lives, and love, about who God is and what He has done.

Darkness here is not just moral failure; it is spiritual blindness. Light is not self-improvement; it is revelation.

We speak because we have seen. We proclaim because we have been changed.

Lord, remind us why You saved us. Give us courage to tell the truth about Your goodness, not loudly, but faithfully. Let our lives point back to You.

Speaking from the Light,
