Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.
2 Peter 1:10
Calling and election originate in God’s initiative. Confirmation appears in our endurance.
This is not a promise of perfection; it is a promise of stability. Not that we will never struggle, but that we will not be overcome.
Because when our lives are shaped by these qualities, we are not easily shaken.
“You will never fall” does not mean never to stumble; Peter knows about stumbling.
“Never fall” means that we will never ultimately collapse.
There is a steadiness that comes from a life rooted in Christ. Not because circumstances are easy, but because the foundation is strong.
And over time, that stability becomes evident, not in moments of strength alone, but in seasons of testing.
Our fruit validates the root.
Lord, thank You for the strength that comes from a life rooted in You. Help us walk in consistency and faithfulness each day. We surrender our fear of falling and trust You to keep us steady.
Confirmed in Him,
eep
