Increasing

2 Peter 1:8

For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:8

Growth in the Christian life is rarely dramatic, but it is meant to be tangible. Not static, not stagnant, not something we look back on only in past seasons, but something present and increasing.

Peter does not call us to perfection; he calls us to progress. Not arrival, but movement. Not instant transformation, but steady formation.

Movement matters. Because what is growing in us is shaping and forming us. What is increasing is influencing. What is quietly developing today will be clearly visible tomorrow.

Sometimes we underestimate small growth. A little more patience. A little more restraint. A little more awareness of God’s presence. But over time, those “little” things become the evidence of a life being transformed.

The question is not, “Have I arrived?”
But, “Am I growing?”

Not perfectly, but steadily.
Not quickly, but faithfully.

Because grace does not leave us where it found us, it grows us where it places us.

Lord, we confess how easily we settle into spiritual complacency or grow discouraged by slow progress. Thank You that You are at work in us, patiently forming Christ within us. Help us pursue growth with faithfulness and trust the process You are shaping in us. We surrender the need for instant change and commit to steady growth in You.

Growing in Grace,

eep
