2 Peter 1:2

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
 2 Peter 1:2

Peter does not merely wish grace and peace.

He prays they be multiplied.

Grace: God’s empowering favor.
Peace: wholeness with God.

Multiplied.

Not added. Multiplied.

And how does that multiplication happen?

“In the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Knowledge here is not casual awareness. It is deep, relational knowing or intimacy with. The word implies full knowledge, experiential knowledge.

Grace grows as Christ is known.
Peace deepens as truth becomes personal.

We often chase peace by changing circumstances. Peter says peace multiplies as we know Christ more fully.

Grace is not static. It expands as intimacy grows.

The Christian life is not about accumulating information. It is about deepening the relationship.

Lord, forgive us when we seek peace apart from knowing You more deeply. Thank You that grace multiplies as we draw near. Increase our hunger for You. We surrender superficial faith for deeper knowledge.

Grace That Grows,
