For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God.
1 Peter 2:20
Not all suffering is redemptive. But suffering for doing good matters deeply to God.
Peter reassures believers that endurance under unjust suffering is seen, honored, and held in God’s sight. God measures faithfulness differently than the world. He honors quiet endurance more than public success.
We often assume obedience leads to ease. Scripture tells a different story. Sometimes obedience leads to opposition.
Faithfulness under pressure carries eternal weight.
Faithful God, strengthen us when obedience brings hardship. Help us trust that You see every unseen sacrifice and honor every act of faithfulness.
Faithful in the Shadows,
