Centerpiece of the Rescue

1 Peter 1:20-21

He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
1 Peter 1:20–21

Peter lifts the curtain on eternity. Christ was “foreknown before the foundation of the world.” The cross was not a backup plan but the centerpiece of God’s rescue mission.

In time, He was “made manifest.” The eternal Son stepped into history, into flesh, into suffering, into our world. Why? “For y(our) sake.

And through Him we now believe in God, “who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory.” So that our faith and hope rest not on circumstance but on the God who resurrects, reigns, and restores.

Our salvation is older than the universe. Our hope is anchored in the resurrection. The glory of Christ guarantees our future.

We are part of a story God planned long before we took our first breath.

Lord Jesus, thank You that our salvation was Your plan from eternity. Anchor our faith and hope in Your resurrection and glory.

Anchored in the Resurrection,
