Back to the Beginning

1 Peter 5:12-14

By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it. She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son. Greet one another with the kiss of love.
Peace to all of you who are in Christ.
1 Peter 5:12-14

Peter closes his letter where he began, with grace.

The grace that saves us sustains us and strengthens us when life gets hard.

This is the true grace of God,” not ease, not applause, but Jesus at the center of suffering and glory.

He urges the church: stand firm. Not in feelings. Not in performance. But in grace.

When the waves rise, grace is the ground that doesn’t move.

So, receive the final words: “Peace to all who are in Christ.” Not peace from circumstances, but peace from the One who holds us in His.

Lord, help us stand firm, not in pride or fear, but in Your grace. Remind us that we are held by You and empowered by You. Let Your peace anchor us today and every day.

Standing Firm in Grace,
