To be a sojourner is not to disengage from the world; it is to live with perspective. We participate fully, but we do not finally root ourselves. Our desires are shaped by eternity, not immediacy.
Unchecked desires wage war quietly. They do not always shout rebellion; they whisper comfort, control, and compromise.
Holiness is not withdrawal; it is awareness.
Lord, help us live with eternal perspective. Guard our hearts from desires that pull us away from You. Teach us to live faithfully where You have placed us.
