Journeying Toward Home

1 Peter 1:17

And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile
1 Peter 1:17

Peter reminds believers that life on earth is a temporary assignment. We are exiles: not abandoned, but displaced. Not forgotten, but journeying toward home.

This life is meaningful, but it is not ultimate. Beautiful, but not final. Good, but not our destination.

When we remember we are exiles, disappointments do not devastate us, comforts do not deceive us, and suffering does not define us. We travel light because our treasure is ahead.

Faith keeps its bags packed, not out of fear, but out of hope.

Father, help us live today as hopeful exiles, faithful in this world, but longing for the world to come.

Bags Packed with Hope,
