Peter’s final word is not a warning; it is a command to grow. We are not to live in fear. We are called forward, to move, to develop, and to draw closer to Jesus.
Not instantly. Not perfectly. But continually.
Growing in grace is the deepening awareness of what Christ has done, the expanding experience of His mercy, the steady reliance on His work rather than our own.
Growing in knowledge is not just information, but relationship. Knowing Him more clearly, walking with Him more closely, seeing His character more fully over time.
The Christian life is not static, not stagnant, but alive. Always moving deeper into what is already ours in Christ.
Our growth is not forced; it is cultivated. It happens as we remain near, as we respond to His Word, as we walk with Him day by day.
Lord, we confess that we can become complacent or discouraged in our growth. Thank You for being patient and faithful in forming us over time. Help us continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of who You are. We surrender both our striving and our stagnation and ask You to keep shaping us.
