And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Consequences may seem delayed. They may feel distant. But Peter reminds us that they are not absent.
God’s patience is not permission. His delay is not neglect. His silence is not indifference.
There is a difference between what we see now and what is ultimately true. And Scripture calls us to trust what is true, even when we cannot yet see it fully.
God’s purposes are never rushed, but they are never forgotten, giving us both clarity and humility.
Clarity to walk in truth.
Humility to trust God with what we cannot control.
Lord, we confess how easily we misinterpret Your patience as inaction. Thank You that You are always working, even when we cannot see it. Teach us to trust Your timing so we can remain faithful in our walk. We surrender our impatience and rest in Your perfect purposes.
