Therefore I intend always to remind you of these qualities, though you know them and are established in the truth that you have.
2 Peter 1:12
We do not need new truth.
Often, we need remembered truth.
Not because we have never heard it, but because we are prone to drift, forget, and grow familiar with what should still move us.
Peter understands this. So he writes not to introduce something new, but to stir what is already known.
Because truth remembered shapes us.
Truth revisited deepens us.
Truth rehearsed remains with us.
Sometimes the most important step forward spiritually is returning again to what has always been true.
Lord, we confess how quickly we move past what we already know. Thank You for truth that does not change and promises that do not fail. Stir our hearts again with Your Word. Awaken what has grown familiar. We surrender our forgetfulness and return again to what is true.
Stirred Again,
eep
