For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Peter lifts our eyes beyond today’s struggles and reminds us where this journey is leading.
And what he describes is not a reluctant welcome, but a rich one. Not barely making it in, but being received with joy and fullness into Christ’s eternal kingdom.
This growth is preparing us for something greater.
This life is moving toward a kingdom that will never fade.
Every act of quiet obedience is shaping us for eternity.
Suddenly, the daily choices carry eternal weight. Hidden faithfulness matters. Perseverance matters. The unseen work God is doing in us matters more than we realize.
We are not simply trying to get through life. We are preparing to enter the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Lord, too often we lose sight of eternity and live only for what is right in front of us. Thank You for preparing a place for us in Your kingdom. Teach us to live today with eternity in view. Help us hold loosely to what fades and tightly to what lasts forever.
