Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.

There is a difference between questioning our salvation and confirming it. One leads to uncertainty; the other leads to assurance.
Peter is not calling us to earn what God has already given; he is calling us to live in such a way that it becomes evident.
As these qualities grow, assurance deepens. Not because we become perfect, but because we see the fingerprints of God on our lives.
Perseverance reveals authenticity.
And slowly, growth replaces doubt, demonstrating that we have been called to follow Christ.
Lord, we often look inward for assurance rather than to Your work within us. Thank You for calling us and holding us in Your grace. Help us live with clarity and confidence in who we are in Christ. We surrender our uncertainty and trust Your faithful work in us.
