His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
2 Peter 1:3
Peter now makes an astonishing claim.
“His divine power has granted to us all things.”
“All things.”
Not most things.
Not almost enough.
All.
Everything necessary for life and godliness has already been given.
Granted, a completed gift. Not pending. Not partial.
Life refers to spiritual vitality.
Godliness refers to reverent, Christ-shaped living.
We often live as though something essential is missing.
If only we had more clarity.
If only we had more resources.
If only we were more gifted.
Peter says the foundation is already supplied.
“Through the knowledge of Him.”
Again, the relationship is the channel of provision.
God does not call us to godliness without equipping us for it.
His power precedes our obedience.
Father, we confess that we live as though we lack what You have already given. Thank You for fully equipping us with Your divine power. Teach us to draw from what is already ours in Christ. We surrender our excuses and trust Your provision.
Fully Equipped,
eep
